Today I want to share with you 13 principles I use to manifest my goals and dreams on my vision board.

If you have never heard of a vision board or if you have never created a vision board, click this link to read a blog post I wrote to my single sisters about how to create a vision board.

Please scroll down to the picture showing the vision board and start reading from there, because anything before that is talking to single ladies.

What is a vision board? A vision board is simply a tool used to see your goals, dreams and visions that you’ve written down on paper, translated into visual form by using real images or pictures.

For example; you wrote in your journal that you one day want to visit the Fiji Islands. You saw a picture in the magazine of the Fiji Islands, you can cut that picture out of the magazine and paste it to your vision board. Now, you can look at that dream and visualize yourself on the Fiji Island. The vision board itself has no power to make anything happen. It can not answer any prayers, and your faith should not be in the vision board itself. It is just a tool used to see your visions and dreams before your eyes by using real pictures. Got it?

Your faith should always be engaged in trusting the Heavenly Father and his word that these things are coming to pass.

It is not unscriptural that you are writing down the visions and dreams that you believe God is showing you for your life.

In fact, the scriptures teaches us to write the vision down and make it plain or clear!

Habakkuk 2:2-3 KJV

And the Lord answered me, and said write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it!

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.God said that he will give us the desires of our hearts if we delight ourselves in him. If you really want to know what it means to truly delight yourself in the Lord click here.

Psalm 37: 4

Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

God also said, when the people do not have a vision for their life, they perish. You need to dream and you need to have goals. It keeps your life in forward movement and unstuck.

I don’t know if you know it or not, but you were created to do good things and you were also created for good works. I will share with you what the scriptures says about this.

Proverbs 29:18 KJV

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepth the law, happy is he.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them,God wants you to believe him for the impossible. He said, if you can believe Him for the impossible, you can have it!

Matthew 19:26 NIV

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Now that we’ve established that it’s not unbiblical to create a vision board and that our faith must be engaged in the Heavenly Father at all times, lets find out how to get the best use out of our vision board.

13 Principles I Use To Manifest My Goals And Dreams On My Vision Board!

1. After you have created your vision board, place it in an area where you can look at it at least twice a day.

I love looking at my vision board when I wake up in the morning and right before I go to bed. I have my vision board displayed in open view in my bedroom so when ever I walk pass it, I can see it.

2. Believe: Really believe this can one day happen for you. Believe that you are worthy to receive anything good in your life.

happy-black-woman-with-banner_1149-19441732944934.jpg

Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

3. Take at least 15 minutes daily to concentrate on your vision board. Take inventory of what you are asking to come into your life, by doing so, you are ingraining the images into your subconscious mind because what you pay attention to in your life is what you are attracting to you.

For example, you want to cut out eating sweets from your diet, but you are watching TV shows about baking desserts and yummy treats. On your job, people are constantly bringing doughnuts, cakes and snacks, and you are around this all day.

What do you think is going to happen eventually? You are going to give in to the temptation because those images are ingrained in your mind from you paying attention to them all day long.

4. Visualize yourself with your goals and dreams. Imagine what it would feel like to obtain your goals and dreams. Pretend that you are actually living your new life when you look at your vision board.

Do not just look at your board but actually feel all those wonderful feelings as you are pretending as if you’ve already obtained the goals and dreams on your vision board. What you are doing at this moment is engaging your faith.

stress-free-640x426-1783100973.jpg

Remember when you were a kid and you engaged in pretend play? You were so happy and so engaged in the process of play, that you got so wrapped up in it and forgot it was just play.

You would even get into an arguement with your friends, sisters and brothers about, “it’s my red car” and neither one of you owned a car but in that moment it became real for you.

Take that same childhood naivety into your pretend play while visualizing yourself with your new life.

Romans 15:13 KJV

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

5. Say the scriptures and confessions on your vision board out loud, so it sinks down into your subconscious mind and heart.6. Choose to share your vision board with people you really trust and with your purpose partners (someone who is just as invested in seeing your visions, goals and dreams come to pass)

If you do not have anyone in your life that you can share your vision board with, then keep it between you and the Heavenly Father.

7. The benefit of sharing your vision board with someone you trust and who believes in you, is to have a partner to play your childhood game with (Pretend Play).

The both of you get together and start pretending that you are driving in your Lexus 570 and you are traveling to Maui tomorrow and you gotta hurry up so that you won’t miss your flight. It’s lots of fun to do. I play this game with my husband a lot!

8. Stay away from doubting Thomas and negative Nancy. These are people who causes you to doubt, abort or cancel your dreams and goals altogether.

The moment you realize that a person is negative in an area where you are trusting God to manifest for you, shut it down and stop talking to that person about that subject! Stop sharing with them immediately.9. Never come into agreement with anyone who is speaking opposite of what you believe God to manifest in your life. You should speak back to anyone who is being negative about your dream.

Single ladies, if you want to be married, when you hear someone say there are a shortage of men, you say, in a kind manner (you do not have to be rude), girl men are plentiful and besides, I only need the one that God hand picked just for me.

10. Always pray to the Heavenly Father and ask for guidance as you navigate to your new life.

Ask Him to give you His best in every situation and detach from the outcome.
Don’t try and figure out how it is going to happen. Your job is to believe and trust God.11. Read books and look at testimonies online of others who have obtain their dreams in the areas you want to obtain yours. This will keep your faith engaged in your goals and dreams.

12. When the spirit of truth prompt your heart to do something towards your dreams and goals, take fast actions.

13. Lastly, you never talk against the things you believe to happen for you on your vision board by doubting because it will take longer to come or not come to pass at all.

James 1:6-7

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord

These are my 13 principles I use to manifest my goals and dreams on my vision board. Now go and create you a masterpiece Vision Board.

A New Year, A New You! 2018

I have 2 questions for you. How are you going to end 2017? How are you going to begin 2018?We have only 2 days before the new year begins and it is not too late to close the chapter on the past and open a new chapter on your future.

In today’s blog, I am going to share with you some of the ways you can end 2017 strong, and begin 2018 with a brand new you.

You can’t undo the past but you can bring closure to it. How I like to end my year strong, is by first, acknowledging all the things that I have accomplished in my year.

If you’ve written in your journal all year, then you’ve documented more than you know. You can look back through the pages of your journal and be amazed at all the things you’ve actually accomplished.I also take inventory of all the blessings God manifested for me. Almost everynight, I list 10 or more things that showed up for me in my day and show gratitude to God by thanking Him for providing for me.

I also have a place in my journal that I write my goals, dreams and anything I want to accomplish. I look over that list and I thank God for the goals and dreams that were fulfilled.

The goals and dreams that have not manifested yet, I write them down in my new journal. Just because they didn’t come to past this year doesn’t mean they won’t come to pass next year.

I also evaluate my goal list and take off any goals and dreams I have a change of heart about. I evaluate why these goals and dreams have not come to pass and write out a plan for how I can accompmish them.I end the year strong by evaluating what things I’ve allowed to distract me. I write in my journal how I can avoid these distractions in the next year.

I look over my schedule and ask myself, if I need to let go of anything that is on my schedule.

I then look inwardly and ask myself are there things in my heart that I need to clear out and let go, and are there any relationships that I need to weed out or cultivate.

I write it all down. I then ask God for forgiveness. I ask God for forgiveness if I knowingly or unknowingly offended anyone. I ask God to touch and release me from anyone who is holding ought against me.  After I have cleansed my heart and mind, I say a prayer and a confession that goes something like this:

This year is over. I will not take old baggage into the new year. I will leave everything behind me. I now walk into a new season and I am not taking any negative emotions with me into my new year. I intentionally pay attention to what I want to manifest for me this year. My sins are forgiven, my past have been washed away.

I live with no regrets of the previous year. Everything will work together for my good as I enter into a new year. I walk into my new year with a new mindset, a new me, a new level, a new dimension, a new vision for my life and my family, new strategies, new dreams and new goals. God I ask you to bless my life and bless 2018. In Jesus name Amen. CLOSURE! 2017

Now it is an opening to a new door, a new chapter, a new season, a new year and a brand new you. You need a new journal for 2018. You should start journaling what life will look like for you in 2018. Write it all out in as much details as you see it in your minds eye.

What I write in my new journal for 2018 all my new goals, new dreams, new schedule, new vision, new strategies, new mindset, new image and a brand new me.

I then create a Vision Board with pictures, scriptures and confessions as a reminder to keep my vision, dreams and goals before my eyes.

I thank God for answering my prayers and requests in advance, trusting and detaching myself from the outcome on how God wants to manifest it.

Now go ahead bring closure to 2017. Write new visions, goals and dreams for 2018. Walk into the 2018 a New Year, a New You.

God’s Way verses the World’s Way On Money and Debt

Holy Bible and money

Today I want share with you a biblical perspective on how we (believers of the Bible) should handle our finances. I also want to do a comparison of how we’ve always been taught by the world’s system to handle our finances, verse God’s way of handling our finances. I will also expose the truth about debt from a Biblical perspective.

I must warn you that if you have been living with credit cards, and getting loans for everything you own and paying monthly payments on your possessions, this is going to shake your confidence because what I am about to expose you to right now, probably goes against everything you’ve been taught and everything you know about money and debt. It takes having real trust in the Heavenly Father to handle your money the Biblical way, verse the world’s way.

You will find out that when the rug is pulled out from under you, and what I mean by that is, when all of your options are taken away from you to use other people’s money to fund your material possessions and your dreams, that your security has been in the world’s system and not in God’s system. True financial security comes when you owe no man but to love him, false security comes when you are a slave to the lender and have borrowed the lender’s money to fund your dreams or your possessions.

pexels-photo-260024.jpeg

I want you to know this blog post is all about me as well, I don’t get a pass. I was hesitant to release this blog post because I didn’t want to sound like I had it all together. My husband and I are still working towards handling our finances the way the Bible instructs us to. It’s hard and tempting, going back and forth and dancing with what the world offers you, verses taking a stand to handle your money God’s way. I am not judging you and I do not have it all together, but my husband and I are working on a better financial future. I have been released to release this blog post, in the hopes of getting believers of the Bible to see the truth verses a lie on how we been taught to handle our finances.

Just because the world deems it normal to take out loans of every kind, apply for credit cards, make vows, pledges, give money and possessions without truly looking at all the other bills you owe or counting up the cost, do not make it the Biblical thing to do.

We live in a country where debt is supreme, but what I am learning from a biblical perspective is that Cash is King. If you do not have the money in your possession to fund it, then you save up for it and pay cash or you live without it, or God will bless you with it through someone else, instead of becoming a slave to the lender and borrowing it. Now I know we are taught about good debt and bad debt, like borrowing money to fund your degree, a home and business but from a Biblical perspective all debt is bad.

I know most people have no other option but to borrow funds for their schooling, home and business, it will help put them in a better financial situation. But even in these cases, you are still a slave to lender until you set yourself free from the snare of the fowler, you are not exempt, neither are you the exception to the rule when it comes to handling your finances the biblical way.

Any debt from a biblical perspective is being a slave to the lender. This article is only talking about what the bible has to say about money.

Now I love Dave Ramsey philosophy about money because it comes from a biblical view and after listening to his talk on money, it is a goal of mine to adopt a biblical perspective on how I handle my finances.

Now let us dispel, expose and learn some truths about money from a biblical perspective verses the world’s perspective. Click this link to learn 250 Bible verses about money.

student-loan-debt-1160848_1280.png

1. Debt : a state of being under obligation to pay or repay someone or something in return for something received : a state of owing deeply in debt to creditors.

The world offers us so many ways to get ourselves into debt, like credit cards, car loan, mortgage loan, business loan, payday loan, furniture loan, appliances loan, co-signing for some one else’s debt, making pledges, student loan, banks are offering a program where you can borrow against your own money therefore making you in debt to yourself while they are making interest off of your money, and if you forfeit the rules that they established for you to borrow against your own money, your money becomes the bank money and you loose your money to the bank. Leasing cell phone, borrowing money from friends, families and foes. It is so easy to get into debt.

Now let’s read what God thinks about all of this, put your seat belt on, you are about to see things in the word of God that you probably have never seen before.

This is God’s will for his people:

Deuteronomy 15:6
For the Lord your God will bless you as He has promised you, and you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; and you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.

Deuteronomy 28:12
The Lord will open for you His good storehouse, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.

God said, when we are trusting in him and live our lives after his ways, He would bless us and we will lend to many nations, BUT YOU WILL NOT BORROW, we will rule over nations, but they will not rule over you. God said he will open up his good store house, the heavens, to give us rain to our land in its season, and to bless the works our hands, and you SHALL LEND TO MANY NATIONS BUT YOU SHALL NOT BORROW!

Now tell me, how are we going to be lenders, if we are borrowing other people’s money?

We have disqualified ourselves from this scripture when we borrow money because God’s tells his people that they will lend and not borrow, this is our covenant right with God. Every time we get ourselves into debt we forfeit this covenant.

In fact Proverbs 22:7 tells us,

Proverbs 22:7
The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower becomes the lender’s slave.

bank-2907728_1920

Anytime you take on a loan, borrow money from someone or make a vow to someone to give them something, whether you’ve signed your name on the dotted line by saying you are going to pay this money back or you’ve entered into an oath or agreement or a pledge with your mouth, you have now become that person or institute slave!

They now rule over you, from this scripture they are the ones that are rich, now you are the one who is poor because you did not have the cash in your hand or in your bank account to pay for the items you wanted at the time the full amount of payment was needed.

The Bible has a lot to say about a person who borrows money from others and do not pay it back, the Bible cause that person wicked!

Psalm 37:21
The wicked borrows and does not pay back, but the righteous is gracious and gives.

But in that same verse, it talks about the righteous is gracious and gives. Righteous people are principle people, they are courteous and kind. They desire to help others. They think about how their actions effect others and their family. Righteous people do things the way the Bible instructs them to. They count up the cost before entering into covenants. They are people of integrity. They rather not live above their means. They give because they have enough to give without robbing peter to pay Paul. (This is my take on it.)

Exodus 22:14
If a man borrows anything from his neighbor, and it is injured or dies while its owner is not with it, he shall make full restitution.

We live in a time where people words have lost it’s power, now you have to get things in writing. Years ago you can do a handshake and believe what the other person tells you when you loan them money, clothing and your car etc. As believers, the Bible tells us if we borrow anything from anyone, and it gets damaged, lost or stolen, we are to make full restitution of what we borrowed. If we do not make good on the word or our vow, we are considered wicked!

Lets look at what the scripture say in the Bible about making an oath, pledge or a vow.

Proverbs 17:18 ESV One who lacks sense gives a pledge and puts up security in the presence of his neighbor

Proverbs 17:18 ISV A man who lacks sense cosigns a loan, becoming a guarantor for his neighbor.

When we co-sign for other people to enter into debt, the Bible says we lack sense! That person is not credit worthy or they could have gotten the loan themselves. If they do not pay their debt, that debt now becomes yours because you’ve made a vow to the lenders stating, “I will pay off their car, house or item if they don’t honor their vow with you.”

What is a Pledge?

1. a formal or solemn promise or agreement, esp to do or refrain from doing something.

2. collateral for the payment of a debt or the performance of an obligation the condition of being collateral (esp in the phrase in pledge).

3. a sign, token, or indication: the gift is a pledge of their sincerity.

pinky-swear-329329_1920

This is the only thing from scripture that a follower of Christ is suppose to owe a person.

Romans 13:8
Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.

Let us read the scriptures about borrowing money

Psalm 37:21
The wicked borrows and does not pay back, but the righteous is gracious and gives.

2 Kings 4:7
Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt, and you and your sons can live on the rest.”

The world sends us messages, mail and even encourages us to get into debt. They make it so easy for us we to qualify for a loan to purchase the things that we want. They don’t care about your previous history of filing for chapter 13 and your poor credit history. They have created programs designed just for people with a bad money history.

Colossians 2:8 ESV See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.

God is telling us follow his ways and not the ways of the world!

Matthew 5:33 ESV “Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform to the Lord what you have sworn.’ But I say to you, Do not take an oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. And do not take an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black. Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.

James 5:12 ESV But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.

Lets sum it all up. From these scriptures the Bible says do not make an oath, vow or pledge. When you do, it is not of God or comes from God. It is not wise. Let your yes be yes and your no be no. Anything other than your yes or no, comes from the evil one. If you have the money in your hand or bank account give it or buy it. If you don’t, do not entrap or enslave yourself by making vows, oaths or pledges. If you owe anyone or made a pledge pay your vow, or you would be considered wicked!

THE POWER OF LETTING GO! A key element in manifesting anything in your life.

stock-photo-transportation-people-colours-lagos-nigeria- (2)

I am reminded of a time when I so badly wanted to visit the beautiful continent of Africa.

Africa is where my husband is from. Africa is where my ancestors are from. It seemed like everything was coming up to stop me from making this dream a reality.

Here are a list of things that came up:

My husband and I had other obligations and things that needed our financial attention. If he traveled, then I needed to stay home to take care of our business that he ran. I was either pregnant and couldn’t travel or I had just given birth to a baby. We also had another business that I ran that required me to be hands on, if I didn’t work it, the monies stop flowing. It seemed like circumstances was not lining up for me.

I even accused my hubby for not wanting to take me to the place he grew up.

But the truth is, my husband wanted everything to be comfortable for me when we arrived in his hometown. He wanted my first time visiting the place he grew up to be an amazing experience.

I assured him that I can handle anything. I am a girl who has been through something. I didn’t grow up with a silver spoon in my mouth. It didn’t matter where I stayed, I wanted to see where my ancestors were from. I could feel Africa in my bones.

mother-2262750_1920

It seemed like this dream of going to Africa was taking forever. I would have words back and forth with my husband about it, I made it a real issue. My husband assured me that we will go Africa and all I needed to do was trust and be patient. But my patience was running out.

So one day, I decided to let go of the anxiousness of going to Africa. I truly let it go in my heart. I decided to be content with it, and not let it ever be an issue between my Husband and I.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6)

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” – Hebrews 13:5

  •  THE MOMENT I LET IT GO, I KNEW IN MY SPIRIT THAT GOD WOULD LINE UP EVERY CIRCUMSTANCES FOR ME TO GO TO AFRICA!
  • Yes It happened, and it happened so fast! My time had come! The opportunity to visit Africa finally presented itself to me.
  1. I didn’t own my business anymore, we didn’t have any major financial obligation. I wasn’t pregnant. I wasn’t breastfeeding my son anymore. My babies were at the age that they could have a babysitter without me being in town. All of my circumstances were lining up for me.
  • But now all of a sudden, I had some resistance towards going to Africa. I remember saying to God, “you are going to make me go aren’t you?” At that time, I was not willing to part from my babies for that long period of time. I even told my husband, “you go without me, I don’t want to go.” I truly struggled! The only people I could trust to watch after my kids could not watch my children while I was in Africa.
  • Now here I was telling God and my husband that the timing wasn’t right. I asked God, “who is going to watch my babies while I’m in Africa and who could I trust? The only people I could trust with my kids for that long period of time were my parents and my oldest daughter. My daughter had to work and my parents were traveling on the same dates I would be traveling to Africa.

faith-612460_1920But God! He is faithful.

One day, while talking to a friend and telling her that I have an opportunity to go to Africa but needed someone who I could trust to watch my children before I could even entertain the offer, she told me that she also had an opportunity to take a trip out of the country and needed a babysitter to watch her child. She asked me if we could exchange babysitting services.

When I tell you that everything lined up for me, I mean everything. Oh my God! God supernatural assigned his angelic host to escort me to Africa. On top of that, God blessed me with a mini vacation! I had time alone, away from the kids while I traveled to retrieve my passport and my Nigerian visa.

Listen to all I had to go through to get to Africa. God provided for me supernaturally every step of the way! He assigned people who showed me favor to get me to Africa. I could feel the prayers of my husband and the intercessory prayer warriors in Africa, praying for my journey to Africa!

I needed to update my passport, and at the time I would be traveling to Africa, my passport would not be ready if I sent it through the mail. So I had to travel to Chicago because they give out passports on the spot. Yes! Mission accomplished, I received my passport!

But I needed a Nigerian visa to visit Nigeria, and now I had to travel to Atlanta to get a Nigerian visa. So I traveled to Atlanta, but when I arrived they told me that they didn’t not have anymore visas and I needed to go to New York if I wanted a Nigerian visa. They also told me that it was a holiday for them, and they were taking off and all of the Nigerian Embassy would be closed and I only had that day and the next day to make that happened, I didn’t know what to do! I said what! You guys are suppose to keep Visas in stocked, that is why you guys are an Embassy.

I didn’t want to travel to New York, and I felt like I did all this traveling for nothing! The Embassy in Atlanta told me all the information they could tell me and I was left to figure the rest out on my own. I heard a lady say I could over night the forms and fees if I can get some one in their processing center who would receive it and process my forms. That was my only hope! I told myself if only I could talk to someone at the New York Embassy. I attempted to call and could not get anyone but a recorder.

african-2197414_1920.jpg

I was frustrated and was about to give up but I heard in my spirit, “call again,” and I pushed a different button. I got a lady who works in the processing center. She gave me so much favor. She told me what to do and gave me the number to her direct line. My husband and I worked hard to get everything we needed to process this Visa. We paid all of the fees and filled out all of the forms and sent it overnight. I did all of this while I was still in Atlanta and my husband was at home in St. Louis. The next day, I had my Nigerian visa in my hand! I traveled by bus, airplane, car and train to retrieve my passport and visa. On my way home from Atlanta, God had me to minister to someone who had just gotten out of prison and blessed him with a book that I hoped changed his life.

I love my husband even the more after visiting his beautiful family. I was forever changed after visiting Africa. God used my niece in-law and sister in-law Adeline and Pastor Enohor to bring me to Africa. My niece in-law Adeline, asked Pastor Enohor and I to speak at her workshop Girl Arize.  We formed a bond that day, and Pastor Enohor asked my husband and me to speak at a big conference she holds in Africa every year based on a book she wrote called End of Discussion.

I was on a divine assignment from God, I was able to minister to the people in Africa. God had me to deliver a special word to the people in Africa. I am so every grateful to God, my husband, my babysitter, my niece and sister in-law and all of the people God used to make my dream a reality.

I had the most amazing time while I was in Africa. I received the royal treatment while I was there. My people loved on me! I felt like I was home! Every thing I dreamed Africa would be superseded my expectation. I was in awww the whole time I was there. My bones oozed with excitement and my face never lost it smiled.

Africa was beautiful. Looking at the people as they hustle and bustle was beautiful. Shack houses, huts and big beautiful homes and building were beautiful. Watching thousand upon thousands of people working for themselves to feed their families both kids and adults was beautiful. Watching the traffic and crowded  buses, motorcycles and scooters rides was beautiful.

Life for some people in Africa maybe hard but Africa is rich in resources. Everything may not be idea living for some Africans and the struggle definitely real. I am not down playing that, but I chose to focus on the beauty of Africa instead of the negative stigmas.

Trust God, and then let go if you are feeling stressed out, overwhelmed or anxious that it is taking to long for your dreams or prayers to manifest.

Letting go is not giving up the dream. Letting go is allowing, allowing God to be God and you to be content in your current circumstances. God will work out all of the details for you. He is working everything out for your good.

Every step of the way was a divine connection for me. God lined up things at the right time because I chose to let it go.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. – Romans 8:28

And our great big God would do the same thing for you, if you just trust him!

Getting Back to the Heart of Things!

bench-1245994_1920

This blog post is about my journey back to being grateful and taking control of my life. I was feeling like I needed to bring more balance and order in my life.

I am a Christian, wife, mother and I took on the task of being responsible for my kids education. Yes, I also homeschool my kids.

I am a woman who have dreams and a purpose and I started to pursue them as well. I am a self published Christian author. I’ve written 3 books,“Dare To Dream Big”, “25 Attitude “You Must Have for a Breakthrough” and “Extraordinary Single Lady”.

I am a certified Christian life coach, speaker and blogger. I have a lot on my plate, but I love it. I love that I have found out what God created me to do and that is to partner with him to see his daughters made whole in every area of their lives. But I have an evening greater calling, and that is to be a wife to Overere and a mom to Erica, Faith, Victoria, Blessing and Wisdom. I am also called to be Destine’s GeeGee. I am not ready to be called a grandmother yet, so I told my granddaughter to call me GeeGee.

In life, there will be a lot of things pulling for your time and attention but you have to know what is the most important in your life. For me, God is most important, then myself and then my family in that order and then everything else comes after that.

herbal-tea-647535_1920

Myself after God because I am no good to anyone if I do not take care of myself first. I need to always be giving back to me, so I can give back to others that have been entrusted to me.

Some of my favorite me times and things I enjoy giving back to myself are, Lipton Green tea with honey or guava, reading and learning, spa treatment in the bath tub, spending fun quality time with my husband like going out to dinner and catching a great movie afterwards, traveling, praying and meditating, journaling, 30 minutes walks which I need to get back to, getting my hair done when its time, polishing my nails and toes, buying something for myself, having sweet fellowship and feeding my spirit man at Church and having social time with the ladies.

As women we want to be a part of everything and attend everyones gathering. But you have to decide what is truly important for you.

You must develop a relationship with the Holy Spirit so He can prompt you when you are taking on too many things in your life or when you are suppose to do something different than what you or other people think you are suppose to be doing.

diary-1149992_1280.jpg

Everyone has an agenda, but it is God’s agenda that should reign supreme in your life. But let me reveal this revelation. God has given us the ability to make wise decisions for ourselves. God requires us to follow after Jesus example on how we should conduct our lives. Jesus is the standard for us to pattern our life after, it is the blue print on how we are suppose to conduct ourselves with our family, friends, on our jobs and in the world. That is  one of the requirements to live a Christ centered life.

He has given you the free will to choose how you want your life to be. He will present things before you, but ultimately you must decide on what job to take, who to marry, where you want to live, which gifting and talents you want to develop, what type of car you want to drive, what kinds of attributes you want to display in the world, what house you want to live in and how you want to spend your days on earth.

The Bible is the road map for the best possible outcome to based your decisions on. The Bible is the true word of God, it is not to be taken lightly. It is prophecy in a book. It is God’s word to man, but God gave you free will, He left it up to you to do the choosing. The Holy Spirit is God’s helper, He will illuminate to you which way you should go if you develop a intimate trusting relationship with him. The Holy Spirit will speak to your heart and prompt you when it is something you should do or not be doing at this time if your life. Most Christians have not develop that relationship with the Holy Spirit. If you are born again, I would recommend you read this book by Benny Hinn called “Good Morning Holy Spirit” if you want to be born again pray this prayer.

Ladies, I know we want to have our cake and eat it too, but there is a price that comes with that. It takes careful thought and planning and great organization skills of which I am learning to develop everyday. I know everything is not going to be perfect, but perfect to me is having a peace of mind and living true within my heart, and being the change that I want to see and that starts with me.

All I was hearing in my spirit was get your house in order and that could mean different things for different people because we are all called to something different in life. Your struggle my be totally different from my struggles.

I was presented with an offer, that I might add, I asked God for, but after the offer was presented to me, all I heard was get your house order and organize in every are of your life. I heard 30 days.

I began working on it right way. The 1st thing I did, was write out a plan on how I was going to tackle all of my task that was set before. Before I can take on another obligation, I must do this 1st. Get my house in order.

dresses-53319_1280

I wrote a plan for decluttering every area in my home and this was not a surface plan. It was very detailed. I was not going to leave not one stone unturned. Sometimes we tackle the surface clutter that we see and neglect the clutter we can not see.

All of the hidden clutter I had to tackle was underneath the cabinets, inside the closets, inside the drawers, I no longer have a junk drawer because I assigned everything a place. Everything I had no use for, I donated it or I threw it away.

I tackled every room in my house and as I was cleaning and decluttering, I was making a list of all the things that needed fixed or mending.

I heard in my spirit, get a system for how you would keep it clean, and  do it the same way every time. I created me a system for every room and I created me an inventory list after every system of things that needed to be purchased for the upkeep of that particular room.

Sometimes our breakthroughs are attached to the things we are willing to give up. Sometimes our prosperity is attached to the things we are willing to implement and do. Sometimes clutter is an indicator of the things we are still holding on to, and sometimes God is just trying to make sure we lay a proper foundation before we build our house so it is not built upon a faulty foundation.

washing-machine-902359_1920

Today it has been a week since my purging and decluttering and I have 2 more rooms to tackle. I will complete them today. The laundry room and the basement.

While I was cleaning, I was thanking God for all of the blessings that are in my life. As I cleaned and decluttered each room, I realize how abundantly blessed I am.

I have clean running water, a warm bed to lay my head down on, heat on those cold nights, cover to keep warm, food in the refrigerator, an amazing husband that affords me the luxury of being a stay at home mom to our children, a home that is paid off, cars that are paid off and a whole host of other blessings.

As I have been extremely grateful, I have being noticing things showing up in my life, big blessing that reminds me of what God said in Matthew 6:25-34 KJV:

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

yellow-845783_1920.jpg

And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:” “And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”

“Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?” “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?” “(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.” “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

I believe I am doing what I am suppose to be doing right now, It feels so in alignment. All I know is God is up to something good and I am excited to see what that is and I will keep you posted. But until then, what is God putting on your heart in this season of your life. Please do not say I don’t know. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you and began implementing it right away. 2 Ways To Eliminate Being Overwhelmed!

people-1492052_1920-2

Are you struggling with getting things done? Are you finding yourself getting behind on your daily task? Do you feel overwhelm with all the things you have going on in your life.

I want to encourage you and give you some tips on how you can conquer your day and feel super successful.

I talk a lot about people pleasing, I believe when you are not being honest with what you can honestly handle, taking on extra responsibility, and attending events you really know you shouldn’t attend, you are in people pleasing mold.

Before you can actually feel super successful, you need to sit down and get really clear about what is important you, what are you suppose to be doing at this season in your life and what is causing you to feel so overwhelmed.

day-planner-828611_1920Then, you are going to create you a strict schedule that will take the pressure off of you feeling so overwhelmed.

You are going to feel guilty about this at first, because you are used to being there for everybody else and you will feel guilty because you are going to have to tell people no.

Some people might be upset with you, and even might get offended with you, but you are going to have to be ok with that because you are now putting your health first. Feeling overwhelmed and stressed out is never good for your body or your mind. Our bodies have a way of sending us signals when we are pushing it to much.

When you are feeling anxiety in your heart, a headache because you are stressed and overwhelmed these are signals that is telling you that something needs to change in your life.

So how do you change it?

woman-391555_1920.jpg1. Disconnect From Time Wasters

Time wasters are things, people, busyness that have nothing to do with where you are trying to go in your life. It will always delay your progress from getting things done in your life.

You should have time for just relaxing, but what I am talking about here, is people who are living their life in the blind. They have no real pursuit or no real goals, neither are they focused with getting things done in their own life.

Time wasters can also be distractions. A distraction is a thing that prevents someone from giving full attention to something else. Extreme agitation of the mind or emotion.

The scripture that comes to my mind when I think of time wasters and distractions is from 1 Peter 5:8Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up.

phone-1889405_1920

Just when you have decided to live the life of your dreams or live in your purpose the enemy will try to catch you off guard to delay your progress. You must recognize the time wasters in your life. It is a set up by the enemy, he wants to catch you napping.

Time wasters come in the form of a phone call from a friend who is just calling to see how you are doing. However, they are actually trying to find out what you are doing and because they have gotten off focus, the enemy is using them to get you off focus by having you to believe that they have an urgent matter to talk about.

TV is a big time waster. Billions of people are wasting their time looking at TV while others are living their dreams, when they should be pursuing their own dreams.

Computer gadgets are another times waster, If you have to be on-line for anything, give yourself a time to get on there and a time to get off. Schedule it in your day and stick to your schedule.

pexels-photo-58457

2. Schedule your day for success!

Let your time be accounted for! Every second, every minute, and every hour. Plan your day! A failure to plan can result in an ineffective day. But allow for flexibility for the suddenly. Please do not get bent out of shape if you have to detour from your list.

Make sure you get at least 3-5 things done on your list. Let them be absolute things, that absolutely must be done for that day and before you know it, your list will be completed.

Planning your day is also another way to keep time wasters out of your life and make what’s really important a top priority. Scheduling your day will ensure that you are bringing a balance in your life and making time for your important relationships, like time with the Lord, time taking care of yourself, time spent with your spouse, time spent with the kids and attention to your purpose and business.

budget

Here is a bonus! You can even schedule your bills for automation. That way you will never have to forget to pay another bill again resulting in more cash flow for you because you have eliminated late fees that was eating into my profit. When I started to automate my bills, it took the stress out of bill paying. I felt like life was very good. It shifted my focus to dreading to pay bills to loving to pay bills on time, which have resulted in a debt free lifestyle!

Sometimes we are looking at the big picture and wondering to ourselves how are we going to get everything done.

Well here is a sure strategy that will eliminate feelings of guilt, feelings of inadequacies, and failure. There is something about following a schedule that makes you feel super successful and secure. Statistics shows that even when you follow a schedule with your kids they feel more secure. Maybe it’s because you have set your intentions to make sure everything and everyone in your life is taken care of including yourself, and now you are giving out of the overflow of an already filled up tank.

You Are Different, Love Who you are!

Looking back over my life, I am reminded of the many blessing that have been bestowed upon me. Taking mental note of the time I visited the rich continent of Africa and seeing all the beautiful people of color who look just like me, I felt like I was at home.

images

Remembering the smile that never left my face as I gazed at the thousands of people on the street hustling for their families and fighting for survival trying to get the next sell as women and children embrace the roadside selling roasted corn, peanuts, boiled eggs, coconut shavings, grilled meat and drinks.

I saw my sisters walking like stallions, so poised and statues. It was so natural and effortless for them to carry a whole tray of goods to sell on the top of their heads. I knew in that instant that these women were the real models of the world.

If you put African women on the runway it would be no problem for them to embrace and ace the runway with physique, poise, beauty, grace and charm as such as their own.

I was reminded in that instant that these are my people, I came from them, I felt so proud to have come from a lineage that is hardworking, industrious, strong, beautiful, innovative, rich with presence and culture.

adult-1866540_1920

I do not think you can truly know yourself until you have met the Heavenly Father and accept His son Jesus and if you do not know your history. God in his infinite wisdom assigned a plan for us and that included our race, our lineage, culture, purpose, gifting, skills, assignment and our faith. Every person on earth must embrace theses two truths.

Rather you are African American, African, Latino, Caucasian, Asian or Indian, you must seek revelation of who God ordained you to be when He put you on planet earth.

If we are going to survive on planet earth, the human race must co-exist together regardless of the idea that God had for us when we came to this planet.

It is not God’s design for one race to try and oppress another race, or to out do another culture. Competitiveness, oppression, rejection and mental enslavement is of the devil. There is nothing good about the oppression of anyone. Hierarchy is only justified when everyone is treated with fairness, love, dignity, respect and pride. There is no place for that kind of behavior in the Kingdom of God.

hawaiian-hula-dancers-aloha-stadium-dod-photo-by-usaf-tech-54093

But I am not only talking about injustice against race, but injustice in all forms. Injustice can be in our own culture, in our own families, in our congregations, on our jobs, it can be injustice against the elderly, injustice against the poor, injustice and oppression of women. I love what the book of James has to say about this subject.

James 2:1-8 My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory. For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in, and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, “You sit here in a good place,” while you say to the poor man, “You stand over there,” or, “Sit down at my feet,” have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him? But you have dishonored the poor man. Are not the rich the ones who oppress you, and the ones who drag you into court? Are they not the ones who blaspheme the honorable name by which you were called?

If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well.

James 3:13-18 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? Let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

hands-1939895_1920.png

What is so sad to me is that, we do not know our culture and where we come from. We are ashamed of our history, we are ashamed of our culture. We do not know our lineage. It is true that our culture has been stripped from us and some of us never heard of our true origin, but that is not an excuse anymore, we need to find out our rich heritage by opening up books and reading and researching on the internet. We need to get back to loving our true identities. That goes for all culture!

Every person on earth comes from God and everything God created is beautiful. It is absurd to think God created one group of people better than the next group. We are all exceptional human beings, with intelligence and brilliance beyond our wildest imagination.

We were all designed to flourish on earth together, this is not an exclusive planet. We are not robots that were created to operate just alike. We were put here to embrace the beauty of everyone, to give each human being a chance to express the creativity of our maker. To celebrate our difference, to distinquish ourselves from each other, to stand out in the crowd, we were never meant to blend in with society.

tumblr_occckw2hsd1vovk39o1_500-2

My cultural clothes, my hair, my features, my physique, my lineage was never meant to bring me shame. But they were created to bring glory to me, and they were always meant for me to stand out from the rest and to shine.

My dark beautiful skin was alway meant for me to shine!

and you my beautiful Latino, Asian, Caucasian and Indian sisters were meant to shine as well. And this saying goes for all of us, when you reject my skin, my culture, my lineage you are rejecting yourself, when you look away when you see the color of my skin, you just confirm the lack of love you have for yourself, because God is love and we are all made in the images and likeness of God. We all came from God!

Lets heal by embracing each other differences. Lets support womanhood  because at the core of our being, we share the same commonalities, we are mothers, wives, women with dreams, women who wants the same equal opportunities, women who wants acceptance to just be ourselves to the core of our being, women who wants understanding and women who  wants a better life for our families.

I hope this blog post open your eyes to embracing who God created you be and except others for who God created them to be. Our world will be a better place for it.

Design Your Life: With Thought, Care and Wisdom

pexels-photo-110473-2

With where your life is right now, if you were given a white piece of paper and was told that you could create your life just by imagining it and writing it down on paper, what would you write? If you had no limits and you could get exactly what you want, what would your life look like?

I would advise you to think long and hard about how you would create your life. I would tell you to pay attention to all of the details and responsibilities that comes with having what your heart desires. I would advise you to think about your intentions and why you are asking for some of the things that you want to come into your life.

When your life is so wonderfully crafted it is done with thought, care and wisdom! This reminds me of King Solomon that the Bible speak about. I want to share this passage of scriptures with you.

2 Chronicles 1:7-12

Solomon went up to the bronze altar before the Lord in the tent of meeting and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it.

That night God appeared to Solomon and said to him, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.”

Solomon answered God, “You have shown great kindness to David my father and have made me king in his place. Now, Lord God, let your promise to my father David be confirmed, for you have made me king over a people who are as numerous as the dust of the earth. Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?”

God said to Solomon, “Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, possessions or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.”

When God presented this declaration to Solomon, I believe Solomon told God what he wanted out of his greatest need at that time. Solomon realized the responsibility he was given and perhaps it was very overwhelming for him. I would even say that Solomon probably felt inadequate. After all, Solomon was king over a people who were as numerous as the dust of the earth. Solomon said to God, who is able to govern this great people of yours.

fashion-woman-cute-airport-2

Instead of Solomon asking God for wealth and riches, vengeance  against his enemies and to let this cup pass to someone else, he decided to ask God for the wisdom and knowledge to handle it all.

I believe Solomon watched his dad when he was king, he probably was saying to himself, how is my father able to handle all of this responsibility, it is to much to bare. Solomon saw his father go to God in prayer continually and I bet his father made being in the kingship position effortless. King Solomon probably saw a lot of mistake his father made as well. Solomon gave much thought, care and wisdom to the opportunity that God presented him with. I can ask for whatever I want, and I can have it!

Solomon just asked for what he knew he needed. He asked for what would answer everything for him, something he felt like he was lacking greatly! Wisdom and knowledge to led God’s people. See Solomon was around wealth all of his life. After all, he was the son of a king. When ever the king asked for something it was given to him.

I believe we should ask for the greatest need. The thing that would solve it all for us! What are you lacking? What is it that have you feeling so inadequate? What is it that make you feel like you are not good enough? What do you need that would make you feel most successful in your life? That has to be pondered over with much thoughtfulness, care and wisdom.

In return for Solomon asking for what he really needed, which was wisdom and knowledge to led God’s people, God told Solomon, “Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, possessions or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.”

Now let me ask you this question again.

With where your life is right now, if you were given a white piece of paper and was told that you could create your life just by imagining it and writing it down on paper.

What would you write? If you had no limits and you could get exactly what you want, what would your life look like?

5 Things You Should Do When You feel Like Everything Is Falling Apart!

“5 Things You Should Do When You Feel Like Everything Is Falling Apart.”

What things are consuming your thoughts? What are you so concerned about? Well Guess what? My God cares about it as well, you need answers and He is here to give them to you. I hear people saying God don’t speak to me. God speaks all the time but are you ready to listen to who God uses and what he uses to get the answers to you.

I woke up to this message, I learned to stop questioning myself and learn to trust the voice that is speaking. After all, I am just a vessel that has allowed the Heavenly Father to speak through me, rather the message is for me or for you, I am going to capture the conversation.

So what was God revealing to me upon waking up this morning?

bible-scripture-gospel-testament-52513.jpeg

1. When your world is changing around you, stay connected to God.

There is a tendency to disconnect from God and try to figure things out on our own. The urgency of the matter will try and get us to move to fast and react now. Sometimes out of haste we make the wrong move, and out of desperation we jump the gun to fast.

Seasons change, businesses change, locations change, your kids are changing, your marriage is changing, the way our world works is changing, your vision has changed and if we are not careful or in tune to what is going on around us, we would be wondering to ourselves what is going on, I never had to work so hard at trying to keep this thing going. It was once prosperous, we use to be so connected to each other, what happen to my babies, they use to tell me everything, I never had to work this hard to keep this business afloat.

We have to keep up with the times, our world is evolving. What was detestable to wear in public years ago, is now the new normal. Temptation is different now, unlike David in the Bible who stumble upon temptation when he saw Bathsheba taking a shower, now temptation comes to your front door and right in your face.

Social Media is the new game changer, and if you are in any kind of business, it is advantageous that you have some kind of on going social media presence. I know we want things to stay the same, but everything is changing. The way we relate to our kids have changed, you got to be the parent that is in the know, it is all kinds of influences that are effecting the way our kids are behaving. They speak in codes and ebonics, and the messages are hidden in the codes. Parents, we must be able to recognize the new language amongst our kids, so we can understand what our children are into.

The way you’ve done business has changed, your old tactics is not working anymore, it is time for you to find out where your customers are and what do they need from you. You should be contemplating on how you can better serve your customers? How can you make your customer feel important, and what will set you apart from all of the rest.

We are in the age of information, where you practically can do everything from the comfort of your own home. You can shop online, pay your bills on line and even go to church on line.

Churches are making it easy for people to connect with them and fellowship with their congregation, even if you live in a different state, town or city. You can connect with them and be in the same service with them via live streaming.

So why should your customers leave the comfort of their own home to patronize you, when there are so many options available to them. What experience would you give them to make it worth their while? I know some of the topics I am talking about sounds ridiculous, but while you are trying to figure it out, the world is changing.

I remember my husband and I went into this movie theater where we live. This movie theater use to be real popular. It was located in a high price neighborhood, so we just assumed that it is going to be a more mature crowd, but when my husband and I sat down, we realized that we were sitting amongst a new generation of young people and for once in my life, I felt like I was stuck in time. Everything about these young people were different, the way they looked, their mannerism was different, the way they spoke and the way they dressed were different. We did not fit in at all, my husband and I agreed that this was going to be the last time we visit that movie theater. One day we drove pass the movie theater, and they were upgrading it and made it into a upscale movie theater. We have been back several times since the new grand opening. Their clientele has changed. Now young and mature come there to watch movies..

How are you going to stay current when everything around you is changing? I know you use to score big with the old system but now it is not working with the new vision. Your hustle has to be different. You are going to have to find new ways of doing thing.

pexels-photo-29304

2. Embrace the change that is around you.

How can you embrace change when it seems like things are falling apart around you. When you feel like you are falling apart inside. You do not have to accept the change around you but you are going to have to embrace it. Because whether the Bible agrees with it or not and whether you agree with it or not, it is changing or it has changed. The sooner you embrace it (I am not saying agree with sin) and find new ways of dealing with it, then you can find a solution that will make it work for the good of all that is involved.

Sometimes we just do not want to accept the way things are and we do not have to. But if you and I embrace the fact that it is what it is, then we can let go of the attachment that we placed on ourselves, that it is our job to fix it or fix someone. When we let go of all of the judgement, let go of trying to hold it all together, let go of the pride, let go of us trying to play God.

If we can let go and let God judge the situation, and we just learn to love and trust that what ever happens in this situation will work out for our highest good because we have surrendered and gave it to God, then God can step in and show us what needs to be done next.

3. Stay calm.

I think the mind goes into over drive trying to find solutions to why our world has changed and trying to find the pieces to put it all back together like it once was. You can really work yourself up into panic mode if you are not careful with your thoughts. I know it feels like you are not doing nothing to solve the problem if you just sit and be quiet. But being still is probably what you need to do so you can hear God speaking to you.

When you feel anxious, and like anxiety is trying to rise up on the inside of you, go into your quiet place and breathe. What is happening to you is that your thoughts are out of control. You have to bring your thoughts back into captivity. You do that by calming the mind through meditation and reading the scriptures. Psalm 37:25  says, I have been young, and now I am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. If God said it, you better believe he is a man of his word!

4. Pray

Now that you have cleared the cutter in your mind, fill it up with talking to God about it. He is the only one who can show you what you need to do. Prayer changes things. Cry your heart out to God, be honest with him, real honest because it says in Psalms 66:18 – If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear [me]:. He knows everything about you anyway.

You are in a temporary season, make sure that you forgive anybody that have hurt you, betrayed you, offended you or abandoned you. Clear your heart of any anger, bitterness, malice and strife. In order for you to move forward and get your prayers answered,  you have to have a clean heart before God. God cannot forgive you until you have forgiven others. Matthew 5:14-15 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours.

Ask God questions, any questions you need answered. Let God know your fears and your struggles. Ask him for help! The Bible says in Psalm 46:1 (KJV) God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. I have included a link to scriptures that tells you that God will answer your prayers. Meditate on those scriptures. God wants to help you reestablish your relationships, your business, your finances, your self-esteem and anything else you need establishing. Being thankful and grateful goes along way, in fact God says, Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

5. Strategize!

Ask God to show you your dream team? And surround  yourself with others who can help you get to the next level. If you are the only knowledgeable one in the room and everyone is listening to you, then who are you listening to. This is new territory for you. You have to swallow your pride and ask for help! Right now you are losing battleground. You have to get around people who defeated Goliath already. You need to loose your girlfriends who are not married and are trying to tell you how to leave your husband. You need to get around some seasoned woman who got down in the trenches and fought to keep the other woman from stealing her husband. You need to find your Naomi! You need to find your real prayer warriors! Ask God whose heart you can trust. Just because people around appear to be faithful doesn’t mean they are.

I love listening to Oprah tell her story about when she brought her own network. She said, this was new territory for her. Oprah was use to people showing up for her on her syndicated network. After 25 years of successful television, Oprah decided that she would start her own network. She just assumed with so many followers and loyal fans, they would  just follow her to her own network. She said what she didn’t realize is, everybody did not have cable and everybody wasn’t getting cable just to watch her. Oprah stated that in that season of her life, she was just getting back what she was feeling about herself on the inside. Which was shame, fear, she didn’t know what she was doing and feeling like she was failing. People were saying all kinds of cruel things about her and putting out negative energy about how her network was doing bad and how she is not going to make it, but in order for her  Oprah to change her current situation she had to change her inner dialogue.

The moment she started to change the story she was telling herself, in that moment she could find a solution to save her network. She had to shut down from listening to the naysayers both outwardly and inwardly. She had to get a different strategy. She had to ask for help. This was a very humbling experience for Oprah. She spoke on platforms I know she didn’t want to speak on. She partner with people that she didn’t think she would ever partner with. She use the power of youtube and the internet so people could continue to connect with her without paying for cable. She went on a Life Class Tour, she did things that she did not want to do, but she had to make up her mind that she was going to sink or swim. She chose to swim. I am sure Oprah felt vulnerable. She was use to people fighting to get on her show, now she was having to ask people to buy into her network. Oprah became a game changer and so can you. You have to get a plan in place and see it through. It might be uncomfortable but you can do it! Don’t give up! Fight for your life, family and your destiny!

Find Your Purpose and Allow Nothing to Stop You From Living it!

pexels-photo-2.jpeg

You are God’s handy work created for good works. Go ahead and make your mark on the world. Your purpose is defined in the things that you are gifted in, passionate about and what you can go for hours doing without getting tired, it fuels you. Your purpose can also be in the things that you have righteous anger towards. A cause you will stand up and fight for. Your purpose can also be in the struggles and in the things you had to overcome, now you want to show others how thy can overcome it as well.

What skills and abilities others compliment you on the most? That can also be a key indicator to your purpose. You really need to enjoy what you are doing at least 95 percent of the time you are doing it. I say 5 percent is putting in the leg work to see your purpose and dreams fulfilled. Yes, I think part of pursuing your purpose is going to require some discomfort. You will probably have to learn new skills to see your dreams and purpose come to pass.

I never liked grammar when I was in high school. In fact, I was a D student when it came to learning the english language. I never understood the rules. But God called me to be a writer, author and a life coach which is a teacher. If I would have known God would use me to write books, blog posts and coaching programs, I would have paid more attention in my grammar class. I might have been a D student in high school but now I love learning the English language. I still break some rules when it comes to writing, but I will not allow it to stop or hinder me from fulfilling my calling in life. My calling is to partner with God to see his daughters get set free from bondages of all kinds and to receive real breakthroughs to a better life, a bigger dream and a balanced home.

Thank God for spell check, grammarly.com, Microsoft Word, Dictionary.com and others that are gifted and skilled at editing. These tools are an asset to me fulfilling my purpose. God can send you what you need to fulfill your purpose. Never allow lack of money, lack of skills and lack of knowledge, stop you from walking into a greater and better future for yourself. Do not allow your age to stop you either. You are never to old to learn. If fact, if you want to live a full vibrant life, you have to become a life long learner. Do not allow social media and internet to intimidate you. You just use them for the good.

New information is consistently being updated to the internet, and the latest information  might be the information you need to know to fulfilling your purpose. If your purpose do not require you to have a degree, you can teach yourself a lot of things just by going on the internet, to the library and watching youtube videos.

If you are an empty nester or a single lady without children, now is the time to really find out what God has called you to do in this season of your life. You have nothing but time on your hands. The world is at your finger tips. Your best days are still ahead of you. God wants you to fall in love with his word(Bible) so you can get instruction on the next phase of your life!

This is not a time for you fold your hands and feel depressed and lonely. Fall back in love with living, fall back in love with your husband if you are married empty nester. Fall back in love with making an impact on the people God has called you to help with your wealth of knowledge. Now is the time to really live passionately, doing the things you absolutely enjoy doing. Clear your heart of all bitterness, unforgiveness and inner turmoil. Make your mark on the world, leave your imprint for God. Allow yourself to be a vessel to be used of him.

You were created to bring forth Gods glory, get into God’s presence by playing lovely praise music  and when you are in his presence, ask God to show you what is your next move. Ask God to show you how can you help others. Ask God to show how you can create a financially rewarding income doing what you are absolutely passion about. Your purpose can entail 1 to 4 things He shows you, and when He shows it to you, act on it. Urban praise and worship. I have included 2 different kinds of praise music you can listen to. Pick the one you like and get into God’s  presence. Ask God questions that will take you into the next season of your life.
