13 Principles I Use To Manifest My Goals and Dreams On My Vision Board!

Today I want to share with you 13 principles I use to manifest my goals and dreams on my vision board.

If you have never heard of a vision board or if you have never created a vision board, click this link to read a blog post I wrote to my single sisters about how to create a vision board.

Please scroll down to the picture showing the vision board and start reading from there, because anything before that is talking to single ladies.

What is a vision board? A vision board is simply a tool used to see your goals, dreams and visions that you’ve written down on paper, translated into visual form by using real images or pictures.

For example; you wrote in your journal that you one day want to visit the Fiji Islands. You saw a picture in the magazine of the Fiji Islands, you can cut that picture out of the magazine and paste it to your vision board. Now, you can look at that dream and visualize yourself on the Fiji Island. The vision board itself has no power to make anything happen. It can not answer any prayers, and your faith should not be in the vision board itself. It is just a tool used to see your visions and dreams before your eyes by using real pictures. Got it?

Your faith should always be engaged in trusting the Heavenly Father and his word that these things are coming to pass.

It is not unscriptural that you are writing down the visions and dreams that you believe God is showing you for your life.

In fact, the scriptures teaches us to write the vision down and make it plain or clear!

Habakkuk 2:2-3 KJV

And the Lord answered me, and said write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it!

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.God said that he will give us the desires of our hearts if we delight ourselves in him. If you really want to know what it means to truly delight yourself in the Lord click here.

Psalm 37: 4

Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

God also said, when the people do not have a vision for their life, they perish. You need to dream and you need to have goals. It keeps your life in forward movement and unstuck.

I don’t know if you know it or not, but you were created to do good things and you were also created for good works. I will share with you what the scriptures says about this.

Proverbs 29:18 KJV

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepth the law, happy is he.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them,God wants you to believe him for the impossible. He said, if you can believe Him for the impossible, you can have it!

Matthew 19:26 NIV

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Now that we’ve established that it’s not unbiblical to create a vision board and that our faith must be engaged in the Heavenly Father at all times, lets find out how to get the best use out of our vision board.

13 Principles I Use To Manifest My Goals And Dreams On My Vision Board!

1. After you have created your vision board, place it in an area where you can look at it at least twice a day.

I love looking at my vision board when I wake up in the morning and right before I go to bed. I have my vision board displayed in open view in my bedroom so when ever I walk pass it, I can see it.

2. Believe: Really believe this can one day happen for you. Believe that you are worthy to receive anything good in your life.

Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

3. Take at least 15 minutes daily to concentrate on your vision board. Take inventory of what you are asking to come into your life, by doing so, you are ingraining the images into your subconscious mind because what you pay attention to in your life is what you are attracting to you.

For example, you want to cut out eating sweets from your diet, but you are watching TV shows about baking desserts and yummy treats. On your job, people are constantly bringing doughnuts, cakes and snacks, and you are around this all day.

What do you think is going to happen eventually? You are going to give in to the temptation because those images are ingrained in your mind from you paying attention to them all day long.

4. Visualize yourself with your goals and dreams. Imagine what it would feel like to obtain your goals and dreams. Pretend that you are actually living your new life when you look at your vision board.

Do not just look at your board but actually feel all those wonderful feelings as you are pretending as if you’ve already obtained the goals and dreams on your vision board. What you are doing at this moment is engaging your faith.

Remember when you were a kid and you engaged in pretend play? You were so happy and so engaged in the process of play, that you got so wrapped up in it and forgot it was just play.

You would even get into an arguement with your friends, sisters and brothers about, “it’s my red car” and neither one of you owned a car but in that moment it became real for you.

Take that same childhood naivety into your pretend play while visualizing yourself with your new life.

Romans 15:13 KJV

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

5. Say the scriptures and confessions on your vision board out loud, so it sinks down into your subconscious mind and heart.6. Choose to share your vision board with people you really trust and with your purpose partners (someone who is just as invested in seeing your visions, goals and dreams come to pass)

If you do not have anyone in your life that you can share your vision board with, then keep it between you and the Heavenly Father.

7. The benefit of sharing your vision board with someone you trust and who believes in you, is to have a partner to play your childhood game with (Pretend Play).

The both of you get together and start pretending that you are driving in your Lexus 570 and you are traveling to Maui tomorrow and you gotta hurry up so that you won’t miss your flight. It’s lots of fun to do. I play this game with my husband a lot!

8. Stay away from doubting Thomas and negative Nancy. These are people who causes you to doubt, abort or cancel your dreams and goals altogether.

The moment you realize that a person is negative in an area where you are trusting God to manifest for you, shut it down and stop talking to that person about that subject! Stop sharing with them immediately.9. Never come into agreement with anyone who is speaking opposite of what you believe God to manifest in your life. You should speak back to anyone who is being negative about your dream.

Single ladies, if you want to be married, when you hear someone say there are a shortage of men, you say, in a kind manner (you do not have to be rude), girl men are plentiful and besides, I only need the one that God hand picked just for me.

10. Always pray to the Heavenly Father and ask for guidance as you navigate to your new life.

Ask Him to give you His best in every situation and detach from the outcome.
Don’t try and figure out how it is going to happen. Your job is to believe and trust God.11. Read books and look at testimonies online of others who have obtain their dreams in the areas you want to obtain yours. This will keep your faith engaged in your goals and dreams.

12. When the spirit of truth prompt your heart to do something towards your dreams and goals, take fast actions.

13. Lastly, you never talk against the things you believe to happen for you on your vision board by doubting because it will take longer to come or not come to pass at all.

James 1:6-7

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord

These are my 13 principles I use to manifest my goals and dreams on my vision board. Now go and create you a masterpiece Vision Board.

6 Principles Singles Ladies Need To Have In Place To Attract Boaz!/Principle #6

Ladies we are finally on the last principle in “6 Principle Single Ladies Need To Have In Place To Attract Boaz.” I am going to write a bonus blog post for single ladies with children. I will release the bonus blog post this week, so single ladies with children be on the look out for your bonus blog post. Please click this link to read the previous blog post in this series.

Principle #6

The Power of Visualization

Why have I included visualization as a principle in this 6 part series? Because it is one of the main component in achieving all the other principles. So far, I have shared with you attitudes, behaviors, principles and the word of God on your ways of being. This whole series was about you being made whole. We established that God is the only one you can put your trust in, because he is the only one that is reliable and loves you unconditionally, plus he created you and knows you like no other.

We talked about changing your words so, you can change your life. We also talked about how your seeds are your thoughts and your words, and planting good seeds by thinking and speaking positive words over your life, will produce abundant crops and an amazing life.

We talked about having a positive mindset, verses a negative mindset. We talked about walking in forgiveness and love with others and yourself. We talked about being a woman of prayer and having standards and keeping it classy and not trashy. We talked about what it mean to have true confidence and falling in love with who God created you to be, and much more.

Now I want you to take it up a notch by actually seeing your new life right in front of you, by putting real time pictures of what that will actually look like for you.

In principle #1 and principle#2 we talked about finding your purpose and enjoying your own company. I advised you to go out and purchase a journal and write down things you love and want to do and start doing them, and places you want to visit and all of the things that you love. If you haven’t done that yet please do it, do not skip this part. You are creating your new life. What is that going to look like 5 years from now? Make sure you include your amazing husband sent from God.

If you have never had a vision for your life, you have one now!

Proverbs 29:18 – Where [there is] no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy [is] he.

No longer is your life going to be perishing away in unfulfillment and with out goals, dreams and a vision for where you want your life to go.

How are you going to keep the vision in front of you? I will tell you how you are going to keep the vision in front of you; you are getting ready to make it real to your mind and your sight by creating a Vision Board.

I want you to break your dreams, goals, vision, and purpose down by categories. I think you should have a vision for six important areas in your life because this is how you are going to bring balance in your life and find true fulfillment and happiness.

1. Relationships: Spouse, kids, friendship, family, Network, Mentors

2. Spirituality: Relationship with God, prayer, meditation, confessions,

3. Job/Purpose: Calling, life work, dream job, financial wealth

4. Health: exercise, eating healthy, grooming, me time

5. Desires: material objects, house, car, where you want to live

6. Leisure/Travel/Fun: place you want to visit, actives that excite you.

You can title your board whatever you want to, that is all up to you. This might be new to some people, so I will give you some ideas of what others have named their board. Some people call it a Vision, Dream, Inspiration, Faith, Prayer, Desire, and Breakthrough Board. I call mines a Faith Map.

A board is not the only thing people use to create what they want their new life to look like, but they are also creating a book of their dreams, mind movies and tech savvy individuals are creating vision boards online.

A book is a very structure way for you to focus on one category at a time. On the front cover of your book, you will title it for example, “Faith Board” then you will use a title for each category. For example, “RELATIONSHIPS” under relationships, you would create subtitle like “Marriage” then you are going to put pictures of what you want to see happen in this area of your life. Rather you want a better marriage with your spouse, or you want to get married. You are going to cut out pictures that resemble how you want your marriage to be or how you want your wedding to look.

The better your details, the better you can visualize it actually happening in your life. Don’t forget to add scriptures, confession, quotes, or inspirational saying to your page. You can also add real photos of yourself in place of someone else’s so you can see yourself in that light.

I have one major disclaimer; you can ONLY add photos of yourself if you want to get married. Do not add any pictures of a person that you think is your spouse and they have not agreed to marrying you. Do not add a photo of anyone you know or that you are in a relationship with. Your job is to believe God will give you your heart’s desire and that is to get married to a spouse after God’s own heart. The only will, you have control over is yours, and not another person. It is God’s plan that his will prevail in the end.

You can also use photo of your children only in a positive light, for example if you want a better relationship with your children, or you want true happiness or fulfillment for their life.

For “Vision Movies,” all you are going to do is find pictures that represent what you want your new life to look like for each category listed in the above paragraph. You can take your own photos or get the photos from online. You can also use photos of yourself with mind movies. All you need is a program that will allow you to crop, copy, and paste.

Some of the programs I know that work best for this, are programs like, Picture It and Photoshop, they can help you crop your head and place it on the idea body you want to achieve, or if you want to be married and like a particular wedding gown, you can put your face in place of it. You can use the text feature to write your favorite scripture, confession, or quote. Then you can upload the pictures to a slide and add your favorite inspirational music to it, and see yourself every day with your new life.

Last, creating a board online has become very popular. There are all kinds of websites that are encouraging people to join their online communities by creating a dream, purpose, goal, inspiration, and faith and vision boards. All you have to do is type in the topics that I have listed in the previous sentences and all kinds of sites will pull up. The site I use is call Pinterest.com. Pinterest is free to use and allows you to pin boards from their online communities to your board.

You can share your boards with your community or you can chose to keep it private. Pinterest has created a Pinterest pin that can take pictures from any sites that inspires you and pin it to your board. All you have to do is sign up for an account on Pinterest and download the Pinterest app to your computer, and go anywhere online that inspires you and collect your pictures and push your Pinterest symbol and pin it to your board it is so fun to do!

What people love about creating a board online, is that it eliminates the work and time involved in gathering the materials it actually take to create a board.

By the way, I have created my boards using all of the methods listed above.

The materials and tools you are going to need to create a physical board or book are, a pair of scissors, stick glue (because it is less messy), magazines, a big board or book (you can buy them at any Dollar Tree. For your book, I recommend buying a big construction paper book or a big skechers book at Walmart or Target). You need your personal pictures and the ones you get from your magazines, your favorite scriptures, quotes, and or confessions, markers, glitter, pens, gel pens, pencils and color pencils if your choose to get creative.

Since I started with making a Vision Board, I will end this chapter by showing you how to create your own very board and the best way to use your board for a faster manifestation.

Pick a day that you are not going to be interrupted. Turn off all electrical devices until you have finished creating your board. Remember this is all about you and creating your new life from changing your mindset, health, services to others (because that’s all purpose, calling, dream job is, serving others). Travel, me time etc.

Put on some inspirational music. Make a cup of tea and just dream and listen to your heart. Put things on your board that you feel like God is showing you for your new life. Put on your board some of the things you desire as well. There is a scripture in the Bible that reads,

Psalms 37:4 KJV that reads, Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Create your board in a clean and neat environment there is something about being in an organized space, it helps your thoughts to be clear.

Before you begin, gather all of your pictures. Cut out pictures from magazines that inspire you, or if you have a computer and a printer, find your pictures from online and print them off your computer. Before you gather your photos, title your board. After you have gathered all of your photos and inspirational sayings, (you can also just write your scriptures, quotes, inspirational sayings, and confession). Place them on your board before you glue them down, by the six categories listed for you in the previous paragraph.

This will help you to analyze your pictures and bring cohesiveness to your board. Feel free to use the back of your board as well, if you run out of space on the front of your board. After you have organized your board, you can glue your pictures down. If you want to get creative with your board by putting your personal touch to it, now is the time to do it.

To get the best use out of your board, place it in a place where you can see it upon waking up and going to bed. You want to look at your board at least twice a day. Take about 15 minutes when you wake up and before you go to bed to concentrate on your board.

Imagine what it would feel like to manifest your new life. Pretend that you are actually living your new life when you look at your board. This is where you use your visualization techniques. Do not just look at your board, visualize what is on your board, feel the feeling inside your body as you are pretending that you are living in your new life in the moment. Speak aloud your scriptures and confessions that is on your board.

Choose to show it to your family or those that you trust, or you can choose to show it to no one and keep it private. If you can talk about your board with a trusted dream partner, then talk about it as if you have already obtained it. Stay away from the doubting Thomas’s and the negative Nancy’s. Never come into agreement with anyone who is speaking opposite of what you believe God to manifest in your life. Pray over your board and ask God for guidance as you navigate to your new life. Ask him to give you his best in every situation.

Read books and look at testimonies online of others who have obtain their dreams in the areas you want to obtain yours; this will keep your faith engaged in your goals and dreams. When the spirit of truth prompt your heart to do something towards your goals take fast action!

Last, but not least, make sure you are staying in Faith. Believe this can actually happen for you. Never talk against the things you believe to happen for you on your board, by doubting. It will take longer to come or not come at all. Now get ready to see your life change, in 5 years you would not recognize your life.

I hope this blog post helps you to declare your season. I would love to hear from you, let me know how this blog post have helped you, and follow me on Instagram, Facebook and twitter.

4 Ways to Creating a Beautiful Life!

I am inspired to write about “4 Ways To Creating a Beautiful Life” because I hear from so many women who feel like they can not create a beautiful life for themselves.

A life where they are truly happy and fulfilled. A life where they can wake up everyday and actually look forward to their daily task, responsibilities and assignments. A life where they are enjoying living in the space, with the influence and with the people that has been assigned to them.

Creating a beautiful life does not mean that everything in your world has to be perfect. Creating a beautiful life does not mean you have to be rich, so you can buy your way to a beautiful life. Creating a beautiful life is created from the inside out.

You have the ability and the power to create a beautiful life, but you are going to need to make some really tough decisions, get free of people pleasing and change some mindsets to create the beautiful life that you see for yourself.

Before I tell you how to create this beautiful life, I must tell you that a beautiful life first begins with knowing who created you. It begins with having a relationship with your Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. God changes your heart, reveals purpose, desires and longings that are truly in your heart. God also exposes what and where we are placing our identity in. He reveals true agendas and false expectation that is put on you by yourself, and that is put on you by others.

We as women, take on everybody’s yokes and burdens. We set aside what we are truly feeling in our heart. We are living everybody’s desires, purpose and happiness except our own. We care way to much about what others think of us, we seek opinions of others when God has already revealed to us what we should be doing. Women are leaving this earth unfulfilled, unhappy and just taking what has been dealt to them. Your life do not have to remain this way. You can receive a real BREAKTHROUGH IN CREATING A BEAUTIFUL LIFE for yourself.

God tells us in Matthew 28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

I know that we all want to be pleasing to others around us. We all desire to make our life count for something. But women, are feeling guilty, inadequate, unfulfilled, unhappy, condemned and this false sense of loyalty to others agendas, that it is making it impossible to create a beautiful life.

So what are the “4 Ways to Creating this Beautiful Life” that I am talking about? You first have to create it in your thoughts, and then you are going to write your thoughts on paper. After you have written your thoughts on paper,  you must decree and declare it in the atmosphere. After you have decreed and declared in the atmosphere, you must visualize your beautiful life.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. To create a beautiful life, you have to stop thinking negative about your life! This scripture tells us we must take our minds and think on things that are pure, lovely, good, excellent and praise worthy. Sounds like all of those words are positive to me.

Any time God wanted to establish something, he always told people to write it down on tablet, stone or paper. Listen to what God told Habakkuk in Habakkuk 2:2-3. Then the LORD answered me and said, “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run.”For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay.…writing the vision of your beautiful  life helps you to want to put it into action, and in time, your beautiful life will unfold.

Remember I told you the first steps to creating a beautiful life is turning your heart to God, when you do, God said one of the benefits is this scripture. Job 22:28 “You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways. What does it means to decree. A decree means an official order issued by a legal authority. To declare means to say something in a solemn and empathic manner. God is saying that He has given you the power and the authority to order your days, months and your years. The way you order it, is what will be established for you.

Do you want to know what you have been allowing and decreeing in your life? Just look around you. You created the life you are now living, rather it is beautiful or not. You created it. You created the people that is part of your life. You created the environment that you are living in. The job that you work at, you created it. But I have good news for you, if you do not like some parts of your life, you can make it beautiful! All you have to do is do what I am telling you to do to create a beautiful life.

Some believer thinks it is unholy or unethical to use visualization. Well, let me tell you  a little secret. God is the creator and inventor of visualization. How do you think this whole Universe came to be. Wasn’t it God who created the whole world in seven days. When God created the Universe there were  3 things that he did to create it. He saw what he wanted, He spoke what he wanted and He created what He wanted. And every time God was done with what he created, He would call it Good! Guess what? God has given us the power to do the same thing in creating a beautiful life for ourselves.

Proverb 29:18 reads, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keeps the law, happy is he. If you do not visualize your life being better, how is it going to get better?

We can complain about everything in our lives and the more we complain, the more things remain the same and eventually perish like the Bible says. We must see like God sees. We must call those things in our lives good, just like God calls them Good. We must think grand about our life in whatever state we find ourselves in. When we do, we would begin the see the beauty that has always been in our life.

You have to be GRATEFUL in your life. You have to thank God for everything. I try and practice writing down at least 10 things that I am grateful for everyday. During this exercise keeps me in a trusting, peaceful and joyous state. What I realize is, God wants me to have a beautiful life as much as I want it for myself, and He provides me with every opportunity to create this life.

What are the some of the beautiful attitudes, attributes, mindsets and things you want to see in that beautiful life? Give yourself permission to live your beautiful life.

I want you to write down exactly how you want to feel in your beautiful life and what you want your beautiful life to look like. Be realistic in your expectation in creating this beautiful life. What do I mean when I say this. If you are already married, do not imagine yourself being married to a different man. Visualize yourself falling back in love with the husband that you are currently married to. Visualize your husband dating you again and feeling like teenagers all over again.

If you desire to live in a new house, write that down, but while you are waiting for your new house to manifest, create a beautiful life in the home you are currently living in. See yourself cleaning, organizing and removing unwanted items. Visualize yourself painting the walls in a new color and buying fresh flowers to create a beautiful atmosphere in your home.

If you are a mom, visualize yourself being confident and happy in raising your children and influencing their life in a beautiful way. Fall in love with the daily tasks that goes into motherhood like setting schedules, serving your family by making sure they have clean clothes, finding fun activities that the whole family can enjoy and creating meals for your family.

Mom and wives, visualize yourself taking care of yourself by treating yourself to a pampering session. Visualize yourself taking care of your body by exercising and eating healthy. Visualize having fun with your husband. Visualize wonderful communication, passionate loving making, laughter and friendship.

Practice saying no to things that is stealing time away from you creating this beautiful life. Anything that is feeling like a burden and a sense of false responsibility will never bring you joy. Make a list of all the ways you people please just to feel accepted or wanting people to think you are a good person or a good Christian. You are good whether you do things for people are not, because God said you are good and that settles it.

I would love to hear from you. Just leave a comment or tell me some of the ways you want to create a beautiful life for yourself!
